This was SHOCKING to me - Margaret Buj - Interview Coach

This was SHOCKING to me - Margaret Buj - Interview Coach This was really shocking to me. A few of weeks ago Ive offered 5 free 15-minute consultations to people who wanted some help with their interview technique/job search. The slots were snapped up in less than 2 hours, but there was so much demand, that I ended up doing several more calls as wanted to help as many people as possible. It was fantastic to connect with so many of you. One thing has absolutely shocked me though. I spoke to one person who apparently had 100 interviews and  still no job.  There has been someone whos been looking for a job for months but hardly getting any interviews (one look at the resume explained why). There have been a few people whove had more than 8-10 unsuccessful interviews. If you can identify with any of the situations listed above my question to you is: What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for a miracle? I absolutely understand that finding the right job can take months. I am also aware that sometimes you can perform really well at the interview and still not get the job, as it gets put on hold or gets filled by an internal candidate. It is frustrating, but it happens. However, if youve been struggling to find a job for months, and have had a lot of unsuccessful interviews,  why arent you seeking any support? The longer you wait, the more difficult it is going to get.  And every unsuccessful interview also knocks down your confidence and makes it even more difficult for you to sell yourself effectively at your next interview. I sometimes hear I cant afford it. However, how much money are you losing every month if you are not working? How much is your confidence suffering if you get rejected after every interview? Lets assume you used to earn $3000 per month. Therefore, the opportunity cost of not having a job is $3,000 per month minus unemployment benefits (if you have any). You lose $3,000 every month. And you still would not spend a couple of hundred to learn how to interview? I am here to tell you that a job search doesnt need to take months and ANYONE can learn how to improve their interview technique and confidence and it really doesnt take that long. But things will NOT change, unless you take action. It is really sad to see so many smart, educated people who are not getting ahead, simply because they dont know how to make themselves stand out in a competitive job market. If youre ready to take action, please answer a few questions at http://talkwithmargaret.com  and I will contact you to schedule a complimentary, no-obligation 15-minute consultation to see if interview coaching is appropriate in your situation. I hope to hear from you soon. Warm regards Margaret Buj Interview Coach https://interview-coach.co.uk
